Lady Trojans Beat McAuley Catholic

Junior Heather Windes 14 digs, 10 assists and 9 serve receptions, and made all 16 of her serves as the Lady Trojans beat McAuley Catholic 25-22, 25-22 Tuesday night in an Ozark 7 game. Southwest pulled into a first-place tie with Wheaton and McAuley as all three teams have 3-1 records. Heather ended the game with more than 100 touches and only 3 errors. Senior Myka Cook added 13 digs and 12 kills, while Senior Hailey Benninger and Freshman Bonnie Robbins added 5 kills each. McAuley won the JV game in three sets. Freshman Allison Corwin led the way with 10 digs, 6 assists, 2 aces and a kill and was a perfect 8 for 8 serving. Freshman Danielle Reed continued her torrid serving, making all 13 of hers with 1 ace. The Lady Trojans return to action Thursday when they face district opponent Forsyth at home. The C game starts at 5.
