Southwest Volleyball against Thomas Jefferson

Southwest swept its Ozark 7 Conference games with Thomas Jefferson Thursday in Joplin. 

Sophomore Maggie Robbins was 11 for 11 serving with 4 aces and freshman Karissa Martinez had 7 digs and 3 aces, while sophomore Lacey Reeves added 5 assists and 2 digs to lead JV to a 25-11, 25-16 victory over TJ.

In the varsity match, junior Hailey Benninger had 6 kills and 3 digs, while junior Myka Cook and senior Brianna Learned both contributed 5 kills as the Lady Trojans improved their record to 3-4. Maggie also was 9 for 9 with 2 aces in the varsity match, making her 20 for 20 for the night from the serving line.

The Lady Trojans play their first home games next week with Galena in town Tuesday and Diamond Thursday.
