Yondr Pouch

Southwest R-V School District will comply with Missouri Senate Bill 68 which prohibits student use of personal electronic devices during the school day. Personal devices are defined as cell phones, tablets, gaming devices, headphones/earbuds, and any other electronic devices used for communication, entertainment and accessing the internet. This also includes smart watches.

Exceptions will be made for students who need devices due to specific educational or health needs.

To facilitate compliance with the new state law, Southwest will utilize YONDR pouches for students in grades 5-12. YONDR pouches will be issued to students during the first week of school. The YONDR pouch is a secure bag that is used to store personal electronic devices. Devices will be placed in the YONDR pouch as the students enter the buildings and locked. Students will retain the YONDR pouch with them throughout the school day. At the end of the school day the students will unlock the YONDR pouch and have access to their personal devices.
