District Traumatic Blood Loss Protocol
Southwest R-V School District is in the process of developing and implementing our Traumatic Blood Loss Protocol in compliance with Section 160.485.7, RSMo. The target date for this to be completed is by the end of the 2025-26 school year.
More information will be posted here as it becomes available.
The Stop the Bleed campaign, launched by the White House in 2015, is a national effort to train bystanders to control life-threatening bleeding until professional help arrives, empowering everyday citizens to become first responders using simple techniques like direct pressure, wound packing, and tourniquet application. Run primarily by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Stop the Bleed program and other partners, the initiative provides free, accessible training (courses and kits) to the public, aiming to build national resilience and save lives after mass casualty events or everyday emergencies.
