WOULD YOUR CHILD FALL FOR A PHISHING SCAM?
For children in grades K-2, show your child what fake ads or links can look like in games and videos. Help them pause before clicking.
For children in grades 3-5, scam alerts! Teach your child to ignore pop-ups and fake giveaways promising free items in games or apps.
For children in grades 6-12, teach your teen how to spot scams, from phishing texts to fake influencers. Use real examples from apps they actually use.

The Southwest R-V School District is aware of the concerns that have been raised regarding Lifetouch in connection with the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files. Based on the timeline of events and the information currently available, we do not have concerns regarding Lifetouch’s involvement.
Participation in school picture day is completely optional. Parents and guardians may choose not to have their child photographed during Lifetouch picture days. If you prefer to opt out, please notify the appropriate school secretary when picture day is announced.
Should any new or credible information emerge related to Lifetouch and these matters, we will review the situation and reassess our decision accordingly.
For children in grades K-2, help your child understand what’s okay to share, like a drawing, and what should stay private, like their name or school.
For children in grades 3-5, review what’s okay to post online. Even sharing a favorite outfit or pet photo can reveal more than they think.
For children in grades 6-12, review what your teen posts and how it reflects on them. Remind them that colleges, coaches, and jobs may be watching.

Although there has been some melting today, it is not enough to clear our roads to the point that I feel comfortable with morning travel to school. Southwest Schools will be closed Thursday, January 29, 2026, for AMI Day #4.
