
Sarcoxie rallied from 1 set down to defeat Southwest Tuesday in the Class 2 District at Miller High School in the quarterfinals. Led by Seniors Missy Freeman and Addie Parker and Junior libero Olivia Hnem, the Lady Trojans took the first set but the Bears won the next 3 to win the match. Southwest finishes the season with 12 wins, 19 losses and 3 ties, the most victories in more than a decade. Post-season awards will be announced in the coming weeks.
SOUTHWEST VOLLEYBALL DEFEATES McAULEY ON SENIOR NIGHT
Led by Marissa Freeman, Emma Outhouse and Addison Parker, Southwest defeated McAuley Catholic in straight sets in volleyball Monday on Senior Night. The Lady Trojans earned their 12th victory of the season. Additionally, the Trojan Tumbling Team performed and Project Graduation held a serving contest to raise funds. Southwest plays in the Class 2 District at Miller against Sarcoxie in the quarterfinals Tuesday night at 5:30 p.m.

McDonald County defeated Southwest in straight sets in non-conference volleyball Tuesday night in Anderson. Mac County also won the JV match. Southwest travels to Galena Thursday night with a share of the SWCL Conference championship on the line. The girls return home Monday to face McAuley Catholic on Senior Night. The Trojans will honor Missy Freeman, Emma Outhouse and Addie Parker of the Class of 2026. The girls open district play Tuesday against Sarcoxie at Miller High School in Class 2 play.
Southwest defeated Hurley Monday in straight sets on Volleyball Family Night. Senior Emma Outhouse extended her consecutive serve streak to 40 in a row. The girls travel to Anderson Tuesday to face McDonald County.
Southwest Speech and Debate travelled to Carthage last weekend and the results are as follows:

SOUTHWEST VOLLEYBALL WINS ON PINK OUT!
The Lady Trojans earned their 10th win of the season Thursday over Purdy in its 16th annual Pink Out game. The team is raising money for two Southwest students - Payton Neukam and Haven Holmes - who are battling life-threatening ailments. Purdy won the JV game. Southwest hosts Family Night Monday against Hurley with only a varsity match starting at 5:30 p.m.
Southwest volleyball defeated Exeter in straight sets for their 9th win of the season on cancer awareness night for the Tigers. The LadyTrojans return home for Pink Out 16 Thursday against Purdy.
Crane defeated Southwest in straight sets Monday in a non-conference volleyball game. The Crane JV also won. The Lady Trojans travel to Exeter Tuesday for a road match before returning home Thursday for Pink out 2025. It is our 16th such celebration.

The Lady Trojans rallied from 1 set down to beat Wheaton in 4 sets Thursday in non-conference volleyball. Southwest was paced by Senior Missy Freeman who led the team in kills, while Junior Libero Olivia Hnem led in digs. Wheaton won the JV match. The Lady Trojans return to action Saturday in the 42nd annual Volleyfest here in Washburn.

Cassville downed Southwest in non-conference volleyball Monday night. Coming off a heartbreaking 28-26 3rd set loss to Conway Saturday, the Lady Trojans rallied to win the 3rd set against the Wildcats but Cassville pulled away in set 4. Cassville also won the JV game. Southwest continues its home stand Thursday with a match against Wheaton before hosting the 42nd annual Volleyfest Tournament Saturday.

Thomas Jefferson downed Southwest in a non-conference volleyball game in Jolin Thursday night. TJ also won the JV match. The Lady Trojans travel to Galena Saturday for a tournament. They play Marionville, Monett and Blue Eye in bracket play before returning home to play Cassville Monday night.

Blue Eye defeated Southwest in a SWCL Conference volleyball match Monday night. The Bulldogs also won the JV game. The Lady Trojans travel to Joplin Thursday to play Thomas Jefferson before playing in the Galena Tournament Saturday. Southwest faces Monett, Marionville and Blue Eye in pool play.
